1st round out since Corona, had a blast with the nice weather, the course was ok, we had to stay on the cart path but that's ok. Just out to enjoy the day and a round of golf.
I honestly can’t believe people keep going here. The course is not in good condition. Not close to worth the money.
Driving range is in really poor condition. Basically hitting off dirt patches. Some of the balls in my bucket were cracked.
The people working there are nice though.
Horrible course. I’m still trying to figure out where the fairways actual are. Prepare to spend an extra 10mins each hole just trying to find your ball.
I showed up at 7:45 tonight with two of my young children (one of whom had just gotten his first set of clubs). We came to hit a few range balls. The sunset is at 8:32 and multiple golfers are on the range hitting balls. An older gentleman yells from the clubhouse to us at our car (about 75 yards away) that the range is closed. He says despite my objection that they stop selling balls at 7:30 and turns back inside. Use some common sense and have a heart. Little Miami is just as close… not coming back.
The course needs some work- dead parts of fairway/crab grass and tees are rock hard. You’ll want to play winter rules. But layout is nice and a number of good holes. It’s a classic no frills Midwest course. If you go into it knowing what to expect, you should have fun
This is a lower end, no frills, public access course, so know that going in. Terrain is pretty flat, so it is easily walkable.
Pros: Greens fees are reasonable, senior rates kick in at age 55. Plenty of interesting hole layouts, and course presents a fair, decent challenge. Greens were in decent shape and putted true, if a bit slow. They have a driving range and practice green. Staff was friendly when I was there.
Cons: As others have mentioned, tees and fairways tend to be rock hard. Lots of crabgrass, and often hard to differentiate between the fairway and rough. I lost 2 balls that were in the fairway crabgrass. Flat terrain makes it less visually interesting compared to most courses.
I would play it again because it is rather close to me, but it would not be my first choice. If they improved the conditions, I could give it another 1/2 star.
This course is close to home and perfect to play on the weekends! I want to give the owner a big shout out for going above and beyond for me. It was an extremely hot day and I had a heat/asthma attack. The owner fetched a cloth with ice in it and offered me a comfortable chair. Along the way he assured me I would be okay and continued to give me water and power-Aid. Everything turned out. I want to personally thank you for your professionalism and kindness. You saved me my man!
Been playing golf around 12-15 years. By far the worst corse I’ve ever played. Grass was uncut… If you hit a decent shot in the fairway, if you find it, you are hitting a shot in the rough. Would recommend paying a few extra bucks to go somewhere else.
